Use of photography in research with children and adolescents

Objective: To identify studies that used Photo-Elicitation and Photovoice techniques as a strategy for data collection with children adolescents chronic conditions. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, carried out in the Web of Science, CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycINFO LILACS databases, search articles published English, Portuguese Spanish, between 2010 2021. The searches were conducted February April 2022. Data analyzed descriptively organized into categories. Results:A total 28 included and, based on analytical process, following categories constructed: Advantages using Photovoice; Challenges these techniques. Conclusion converging when considering visual approach configured tool facilitates communication experiences conditions, although it may present some challenges its applicability.
